IPAC/Deloitte Public Sector Leadership Awards
These awards recognize organizations that have demonstrated outstanding leadership by taking bold steps to improve Canada through advancements in public policy and management. Nominations must demonstrate how leadership played a key role in the successful achievement of organizational objectives. In the judging competition, judges will specifically consider a nominee's boldness, execution strategy, impact, collaboration, innovation, replicability, and result. Nominations are usually open between March and May, and award winners are usually announced in November. More information on the awards and the application package can be found here.

Vanier Medal
This annual award is given to a person who has shown distinctive leadership and accomplishment in the Canadian public service, or who, by his/her writings or other endeavours, has made a significant contribution in the field of public administration or public service in Canada. Nominations must be submitted by March 31 each year. Click here for more information and the nomination form. 

IPAC Award for Innovative Management
Sponsored in partnership with IMB and KPMG Canada, this award celebrates and encourages innovative managerial initiatives in the public administration of Canada. For 2010, the Innovative Management Awards will recognize governmental/public sector organizations that have shown new and innovative ways of cutting across bureaucratic boundaries and silos to address the complex issues facing society. This year, the deadline for nominations has been extended until June 7, 2010. Nomination forms are available here. 

Promising New Professional Award

This award will be presented to a new public service professional (i.e. someone with under five years of service). Specifically, nominees must demonstrate leadership potential and embody the ideals and values of the public service. The nomination deadline for 2010 is June 18. Click here for nomination forms. 

Pierre De Celles IPAC Award
This award honours excellence in the teaching of public administration. IPAC is looking for those people who bring knowledge, experience, and passion to their students; these are the teachers who coach and inspire the next generation of public sector professionals and academics. J. E. Hodgetts Award
This award recognizes the best article in English appearing in the journal Canadian Public Administration. This journal, a refereed scholarly publication, is committed to the examination of the structures, processes, outputs and outcomes of public policy and public management. It publishes material related to executive, legislative, judicial and quasi-judicial functions at all three levels of Canadian government. More information can be found here.

Roland Parenteau Award
This award recognizes the best article in French appearing in the journal, Canadian Public Administration. This journal, a refereed scholarly publication, is committed to the examination of the structures, processes, outputs and outcomes of public policy and public management.
