Regional Group Awards

Lieutenant Governor's Silver Medal
Each year, the Victoria Regional Group honours a deserving recipient with the Lieutenant Governor's Silver Medal Award. This award is presented annually to a public servant who has demonstrated exceptional achievement and distinctive leadership in public administration. The award pays tribute to public sector practitioners whose careers exhibit the highest standards of excellence, dedication and accomplishment.

Bill Mitchell Service Award
Before his premature death in 1993, Bill Mitchell was a highly respected manager in the British Columbia public service. In his work as Director of Government Agents, as well as his work as chair of an inter-ministry task force focused on improving service quality across the B.C. Government, Bill demonstrated his commitment to service and excellence. The Bill Mitchell Service Award is intended to recognize this in others.

Nominations for the Lieutenant Governor's Silver Medal are accepted in April of each year, and nomination for the Bill Mitchell Service Award are sought approximately once every three years. When nominations are being accepted, forms and additional details will posted on this website.
